Each evening of the conference features two missionaries sharing a short presentation about their ministry. Presenters will also have the opportunity to highlight a specific ministry project (subject to board approval).
If your application to present is approved, you’ll also be able to set up a display table to showcase your ministry or agency in the foyer throughout the conference.
For missionaries wishing to present their ministry on one of the evenings, please read all information below and fill out the form if you are feeling led to do so!
If you only intend to have an exhibitor display, please visit "Exhibitor Application".
JUMP AHEAD
Before and during the conference, we host a few satellite events to help foster connection and community:
Saturday Morning: Men’s Breakfast
Sunday Morning: Service in the Park
Sunday Afternoon: Pre-Conference Briefing & Faspa (By invitation for participants, presenters, and event helpers)
Tuesday Morning: Women’s Coffee
Times and locations for these events will be posted [HERE] once available.
You can also find the overall event dates [HERE], and details about the venue [HERE].
The conference takes place during the evenings, and we ask missionaries and agency representatives to arrive before the doors open at 6:30 pm.
While we recognize that there are many great ministries and organizations, some undoubtedly overlapping with missions, please note the focus of this event is specific for missionaries who have been sent to teach and preach the Word of God.
Their ministry focus is the preaching of the Gospel and teaching God's Word.
They have been affirmed and sent by their sending church.
They were born and/or raised in the Sask Valley Area.
They are members of a church that is located in the Sask Valley area.
They work in a cross-cultural environment.
They serve overseas (outside of Canada) on a full-time basis.
They belong to a reputable Christian missions sending agency.
They will be in the area during the conference dates.
They are willing and able to attend the conference each night.
They are able to pay their way to the conference (gas, food, hotel).
If you are simply wanting to attend, there is no registration required, and there is no charge to attend!
We are thrilled that you wish to present the good work that you do in expanding God's kingdom! Prior to applying to present, please review the qualifications above.
There is no charge to present.
Although there is no deadline to register, spaces to present are limited, so we suggest that you apply as soon as possible, as there are limited spaces available.
Presentation time will be set to 7 minutes, so we ask that you are prepared for that timeframe.
A brief summary of the ministry, and
A “project” which is typically an immediate need of the missionary/ministry.
Each request to present will be reviewed by the Conference Board in the following monthly meeting.
A) Exposure in the local Christian community.
B) To meet those who pray for missions.
C) To inform and impact our Christian youth for ministry.
D) To present a small, one-time project that people can pray for and give towards financially.
Therefore, it is expected that the visiting missionaries would make an effort to meet local believers, build relationships in the area, and be in attendance all four evenings.
As mentioned above, there is no charge to attend the conference and no cost for agencies to promote. We go into each conference by faith, trusting that God will provide. Since its inception, the conference has always seen God provide, as God’s people give, often sacrificially, their time, talents, and treasure to missionary endeavors. Because of this, we are unable to pay travel expenses for any missionaries or agency reps.
Each night of the conference we have an offering, and at the end of the conference, once all the offering money is collected and expenses are paid, the remaining offering is divided up between the missionary projects, leaving a small amount in the bank account to cover expenses until the next year (usually $100 - $200).
As a guideline, missionary projects should not exceed $3000. The conference board does not and cannot guarantee any set amount will be raised.
The WMC requires project money to be channeled through a registered mission agency that will provide accountability as required by Canadian charitable law.
To give others an opportunity, we will ask any missionaries who presented in the previous year, to apply under "Promo Display Application", as we would still love to have you at the conference and provide space for a booth (subject to availability of space).
If your last presentation at WMC was 2 years or more, we would encourage you to apply below. In case there are more applications than available spaces, the board may prioritize those who have gone the longest without presenting. Regardless, we will try to incorporate others into the conference where we can.
Waldheim is a small community in Central Saskatchewan with approximately 1000 inhabitants.
Although there is a restaurant in Waldheim, there are no hotels in the community. The closest towns with hotels and other restaurants are Rosthern (28 km away), Blaine Lake (36 km away), Martensville (38 km away), Warman (41 km away), and Saskatoon (54 km away).
From the outset, the conference has been intended and designed to encourage, to support, and to send missionaries who are from the Sask Valley area (between the North & South Saskatchewan rivers, from Saskatoon in the South up to Prince Albert in the North).
